Prayagraj is a fascinating land to live in. It's one of the most beloved cities in India. This city is the judicial capital of the State(Uttar Pradesh). It is situated at the convergence of the Ganges and Yamuna. Prayagrag has its importance equivalent to Varanasi and Haridwar
1.Anand Bhavan
It is a memorable house raised by Motilal Nehru for the residence of Nehru's family. It's now a museum related to the Nehru family and you can have a visit to see old artefacts and sculptures and it constitutes of two mansion Anand Bhavan and Swaraj Bhawan. The gallery of this mansion is so antique-like teak furniture, Venetian glassware and fabrics that are induced by Motilal Nehru on their tour to China and abroad. On 9 April 1930 Moti Lal Nehru and his son donated his palace to the Indian national congress on the going of the swaraj movement and it remained for headquarters for INC(Indian National Congress) numerous years later.
2.Chandra Shekar azad park(Alfred park)
In 1931 Chandra Shekar Azad a freedom fighter has been fired by the British this park, in recognition of the freedom fighter this park was named Chandra Shekhar Azad Park. It is a well-known park in Allahabad for its cleaned and maintained paths and its biggest park in Prayagraj.
3.Sangam
After every 12 years, there is a spiritual fest held in banks of Sangam i.,e. Maha Kumbh Mela and is the largest participation of peoples in the world. It is so large gathering that it can be visible from outer space and about 2000 years old practice. It is a meeting place of three rivers the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati but there is a belief that the river Saraswati flows below the surface or dried a million years ago.
4. Allahabad fort
It was built by emperor Ashoka the great and in the rule of Mughal emperor Akbar this fort was repaired and is always a tourist attraction in Allahabad. It is situated near the river banks of Yamuna. It is unrivalled for its design and antique interiors and has three huge galleries with three buildings.
5.Allahabad University
One of the oldest universities of India it is titled after Lt.governor of the northwestern territories, Sir William Muir in 1876. The old campus is spread across the old Katra. It has numbers of hostels for students. It was authorised in 1887 and was also known for higher education institutes.
